Welcome to HashSum
This is the home page for HashSum, an open source project trying to port GNU/Linux file hash utilities to a wide variety of languages and platforms. We are currently focused on .NET and Java platforms because the resulting bytecodes can be run both on Windows (.NET Framework/J2SE) and Linux (Mono/J2SE).
Development status as of August 31, 2005: The new .NET version is right behind the corner, with a new XML file format allowing to code multiple algorithms for the same file (which practically voids the collission possibilities). Don't worry, though, for the GNU xsum format is still accepted and can be generated with the new --gnucomp option. Some screenshots from developing process: Recommended display configuration for this page: 1024x768, true color. Although you _could_ see this page OK in 800x600, this resolution hasn't been tested, and could yield some unexpected results such as unwanted scroll bars. |
